Las Vegas Safety
You would think money, gambling and crime would go together here, but on the whole Las Vegas is a very safe city. Security in and around the casinos is high and there is a good police presence on the strip. You should stick to the most populated areas, and not walk along after dark, especially up side streets. We advise to always lock your cash, passport and valuables in the hotel safe.

Las Vegas Hours
This is Sin City and it goes 24/7, so you can always get food, gamble, hail taxis anytime of the day or night. Most stores open until 10 or 11pm.

Las Vegas Visitor Information
Most of the hotels, casinos and resorts have good tourist information booths, with someone available to advise you on where to go and what to do or you can try:

Las Vegas Conventions and Visitors Authority, 3150 Paradise Road
Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, 3720 Howard Hughes Parkway
Nevada Commission on Tourism 800/638 2328

Las Vegas Banks
Banks are open from 9am to 5pm and open on Saturdays as well. Atms are everyone and you can also cash checks and exchange money at the casino cashiers.

Las Vegas alcohol Laws
21 is the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol in America. Proof of age is required and all licensed premises.

Las Vegas Emergencies
911 is the number to call for fire, police or ambulance.

Las Vegas Police
For non emergencies call 702/795 3111 and emergencies 911.

Clothing
If you are visiting Las Vegas during the months of Dec March, you may need to bring a light sweater. At other times of the year, pack for moderate weather. In summer, short sleeved clothes, shorts, sun screen, a visor or hat for those sunny days would be sufficient.
