Las Vegas shopping

Las Vegas hotels

Las Vegas is a shopper's paradise. Here is a big tip for your trip to Las Vegas, don’t spend all your money at the casinos…save some for shopping.

Las Vegas has great shopping and it truly caters to all tastes. If you want weird and whacky, flash and fancy or just great value brands then set aside time to shop. There are malls, at most of the large casinos, large shopping centres and three very impressive big brand outlets.

Best of all the shopping in Vegas is easy to get to, you can walk the strip and the malls and outlets centres are not very far from the main area of Vegas, best to take a taxi though to get all the goodies back to your hotel.

Places like the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace with its 170 shops, a 50,000 gallon salt water aquarium and a giant toy store, Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, Hawaiian Marketplace, Las Vegas Outlet Center, Le Boulevard at Paris Las Vegas, Mandalay Place, Showcase Mall and The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood are just way too thrilling for the serious shopper and they may not want to go home until the credit cards are maxed out!

Off the strip, we have the Galleria, Las Vegas Premium outlets, Meadows Mall and Monte Lago Village which may not be as expensive as the shopping avenues on the Strip.

Most resorts and major hotels chains have their own luxury malls inside. This allows people to shop anytime they want to. Wynn Las Vegas, Venetian Las Vegas, etc fall into this category. The Desert Passage shop at the Aladdin Las Vegas has over 140 stores. This mall circles the casino and also includes dining establishments to curb our hunger while shopping.

For discount clothing, visit Target stores or Wal-Mart Stores. They usually have pharmacies in them for emergency medications. Major pharmacy chains are Rite Aid, Walgreen's and White Cross Pharmacy.

Grocery Stores
Albertson's, Circle K, Trader Joes, Food 4 Less, Von's and Whole Foods Market offer groceries and uncooked food. Also, Wal-Mart superstores sometimes carry Groceries. Las Vegas Outlet Shopping

Hawaiian Marketplace
Island style comes to Vegas in the form of the Hawaiian marketplace. This is an outdoor centre and tries to recreate the feel of Honolulu’s famous International Marketplace. Vendors have separate stalls and sell a range of market style products, a good place to pick up gifts and souvenirs, or to grab a massage or reflexology treatment. If you can, come on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and see the Birdman of Las Vegas in action between 1-3pm.
